expensive中文是什么

今天去逛国贸，进去后傻眼了，只能do window shopping了, 因为里面的东西太“贵”了!!

“贵”的英语是expensive，那“非常贵”呢， 除了expensive， very expensive, 你还会其他的说法来表达“贵”吗?

1、#=very expensive

costly/pricey: 昂贵的

I wanna buy that Cucci handbag, but it's a bit pricey.

我想买那个古驰包，但有点贵。 exclusive：[ɪk'sklusɪv]

大家对exclusive最熟悉的意思是“独家的”，“独有的”

2、调侃式地说“贵”

在中文里， 我们常常会用“卖肾”“抢银行”等来调侃某个东西贵， 英文里也有这样的说法。 cost someone an arm and leg: 花大价钱， 花了一大笔钱(花一只手臂，一条腿的价格， 跟“卖肾”差不多了)

他给女友买了一根项链， 但真的花了他一大笔钱。 break the bank: 把银行里的钱都得花光， 意为“倾家荡产， 花掉所有有钱” ，多用于否定句

to break the bank = to cost all the money you have in the bank; more commonly used in the negative form to not break the bank when you want to say that something is expensive, but not that expensive.

-Getting a new bag won't break the bank.

买一个包包不会让你倾家荡产的。 pay through the nose： 花了多的钱

它可以用来指商品的价格unfair, unreasonable, 以至于让消费者pay through the nose

Why did you pay through the nose for a second-hand car?

你为什么花那么多钱去买一辆二手车? cost a fortune: 花了一大笔钱 cost a small fortune: 花了一笔小钱

It costs me a small fortune to get this house.

买这套房子花了我一笔小钱。
